Course Outcomes:

On completing this course candidates will be able to:

• Understand why risk assessments are necessary for maintaining and improving standards of health and safety at work.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment.
• Contribute to both maintenance of a safe working environment and to the process of formal risk assessment.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment including: Hazards, risks and control measures, the 5 steps of risk assessment, the hierarchy of control, risk assessment review and record keeping.

Award: On successful completion of the course candidates will be awarded a Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment.
