Terms and Conditions

1. Course Fee’s
Course delivered in the centre are charged at the rate advertised on our web page or information sheet. On site delivery is charged at daily rate of advertised on the quote. These are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate.


2. Terms
Your payment in settlement of the amount due must be received within 30 day’s of the receipt of the invoice Date. Certification will not be issued unless agreed by Shropshire County Trainers.


3. Cancellations or Amendments
a. Cancellation by Shropshire County Trainers
Shropshire County Trainers reserves the right to cancel or amend course dates or times. The customer will be informed of any changes in writing where practical. In the event of a course being cancelled every effort will be made to make suitable alternative arrangements.
b. Cancellation by the client
In the event of course or day being cancelled by the client a cancellation fee will be applied as follows:
(i) If cancellation notification is given between 6 – 10 days, 50% of the delivery cost / course fee will be charged.
(ii) If cancellation notification is given within 5 working days of the delivery date or course start date, or the delegate/s fail to attend then 100% of the total course fee will be charged.
(iii) All notifications must be confirmed in writing by letter, fax or Email, and confirmation confirmed.


4. Training on Site - Licensed Course
Our Tutor / Instructor will normally be on site from 09.00am to 16.30 pm for the duration of the course. Training conducted outside these times may incur additional costs.
The following facilities will be required to ensure the smooth running and successful delivery of training.
a. A suitable room to accommodate the number of students attending the type of course, to enable the theory sessions to be delivered.
b. A supply of loads appropriate to the machine being used, (for machines other than MEWPS) together with a practical training area away from the main working area. (E.g. A well lit area of approximately 40ft x 20ft will be needed for lift truck licences.
c. Your student’s uninterrupted attendance for the whole of the course.
d. The relevant item of machinery in a safe and sound condition.


5. Medical
Please ensure that the staff you select to attend any course involving the safe operation of machinery is at least of school leaving age for Forklift Training (18 years old for Platform Access Training), and is mentally capable, physically fit and able to recognise the machinery limitations and potential dangers. Guidance may be obtained from the Employment Medical Advisory Service, whose telephone number should be in your local telephone directory.
Effective from 1st January 2019. This list supersedes all previous published lists.
