Who is it for? This course is suitable for all those who are required to use a pedestrian or Rider operated Lift truck within the workplace and requires certification in accordance with current legislation.

- Responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Operators Safety code
- Battery maintenence and charging procedures
- Pre - operational checks
- Factors affecting stability
- Motive/Hydraulic controls
- Manoeuvring in open and confined area's
- Stacking at different levels
- De - stacking with laden and unladen pallets
Objectives: On successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
- Drive and operate the truck safely and efficiently
- Stack and de-stack at various levels, in a safe manner
- Carry out pre-shift checks to ensure equipment is in a safe condition
- Carry out battery maintenance and charging procedures
