National Vocational Qualifications Training in Shropshire
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are qualifications, which reflect the skills, knowledge and understanding an individual possesses in relationship to a specific area of work. They provide a flexible and effective framework for employers to train and qualify their staff in a range of vocational skills.
Who is it for?
Entry is dependant on the candidates past experience and current job requirements. There are no other formal entry qualifications.
Candidate Support
All candidates will receive a pre-training briefing session with the assigned assessor; this briefing will prepare them in meeting the requirements for certification. Candidates will receive a comprehensive package of resource material together with tutorial and training support as required.
Suitable for all staff
NVQ’s are designed to meet the needs of staff throughout an organisation from shop floor to boardroom, from level 1 to level 5.
How do you demonstrate that you are to the standard set for your level
You will be required to prove to an assessor that you are competent and show evidence of your competence in the workplace. This can be done:
- By being directly observed
- By producing documentary evidence related to your work
- By writing work-based assignments
- By asking others to provide testimonials of your competence
