IPAF Mobile Elevating Working Platforms - Operator

Who is it for?
This course is to train delegates in the skills and techniques required, in order that they may safely use work platforms in accordance with good practice and health and safety legislation. The course is designed to accomodate a maximum of 6 people on one equipment or four people on two equipments. This is in order to provide ample time to assimilate the key learning points and gain practical experience.
Venue:
Training can be delivered at our Health and Safety training centre or on customer's premises.
Course Content:
- Responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Safety features for operators
- Pre-shift checks
- Stability factors
- Environmental factors
- Safe driving & steering (if applicable)
- Safe systems of work
- Duties of the operator
Outcome:
This course concentrates upon the skills required by operators of work platforms to ensure safe operation. On successful completion delegates are registered and certificated with the Awarding body, International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the certification is valid for five years.
