- Police powers with regard to suspension and closure of licensed premises.
- The specific prohibition for sale of alcohol on the human body.
- The protection of children from harm.
- The responsibility of retail sale of alcohol.
Learning Outcomes:
- What the licensing objectives are.
- The duty to declare relevant criminal offences when making an application for a personal licence during the application procedure and after grant and renewal.
- The duty to produce a licence when required by specific personnel.
- Which authorities have the right to enter licensed premises, their powers and circumstances under which they enter.
- The law and consequences of breach in relation to the sale of alcohol to children
- The law and consequences of breach in relation to the consumption of alcohol to children.
- The circumstances when there is a duty to refuse service to a person who is drunk
Minimum Teaching Time: 6 Hours
Assessment Format: Multiple Choice Exam with 40 questions.
Designed for: Anyone who wishes to work in licensed premises or any venue or site where alcohol is sold, for drinking on or off the premises or, in a position where they will authorise the sale of alcohol to the public.
Scheduled Courses: £150.00 + VAT per person ( price includes refreshment, light lunch,registration and certification)
Course Dates: 13 October, 20 November, 15 December.
Customer Premises: Courses can be delivered on customers premises if requested.
