We at the Shropshire County Training fully understand your needs and concerns. We have been successful over the years in providing skills based courses and helped service leavers attain nationally recognised qualifications making the adjustment to civi street that little bit easier.
We at SCT are more than happy to discuss your training requirements and help you formulate a training plan of courses that will gain you qualifications to ease your transition into civillian life.
All our staff are all fully qualified and have served or worked with the forces so they understand your needs and requirements. More importantly, they have been through the transition to civi street themselves.
Our training centre is located in Telford, close to the M54 in the heart of Shropshire. The accommodation is only 5 minutes away from the centre. Transport can be arranged to collect you from the local train station.

Example one
40 Day Forklift Operator / Instructor/Examiner / CIEH Supervising Safely / First Aider
All of these courses listed are National accredited course. This course is suitable for persons wishing to be employed as a category one Instructor/Examiner in a training environment who requires to hold more than one category of licence, or someone who wishes to be employed as a stores operative within a Warehouse environment, and who requires a qualification in Health, and Safety matters.
The Course consists of the Following:
Week One: Basic Novice Operator
Week Two: Conversion – Reach Truck / Pedestrian / Access platform
Week Three: ITSSAR - Instructor / Examiner
Week Four: ITSSAR - Instructor / Examiner
Week Five: CIEH – Supervising safely/Risk assessment
Week six: First Aider
The above fee includes 39 day’s Bed & Breakfast accommodation, registration with both awarding bodies ITSSAR and CIEH, certification, licensing and VAT.
Example Two
28 Day Instructor/Examiner & CIEH Supervising Safely
This course is a National accredited course, which is suitable for personnel, who either wish to be employed as a category one Instructor/Examiner in a training environment or as a stores operative within a Warehouse environment, and who requires a qualification in Health, and Safety matters.
The course consists of the following:
Week One: Basic Novice Operator
Week Two: Instructor / Examiner
Week Three: Instructor / Examiner
Week Four: CIEH Supervising Safely
The above fee includes 27 day’s Bed & Breakfast accommodation, registration with both awarding bodies ITSSAR and CIEH, certification, licensing and VAT.
Example Three
20 Day Lift Truck Operator – Counter Balance-Instructor/Examiner
This accredited course is suitable for personnel who wish to operate Forklift trucks within the workplace and who require certification in accordance with current legislation. This course takes the individual through the Basic Counter Balance course, and then is followed on with the Instructor/Examiner qualification for personnel who wish to become instructors in the training environment.
The Course consists of the following:
Week One: Operator Course
Week Two: Instructor/Examiner
Week Three: Instructor/Examiner
The above fee includes 19 day’s Bed & Breakfast accommodation, registration with the awarding body ITSSAR, certification, licensing and VAT.
Example Four
14 Day Lift Truck Operator – Counter Balance/Reach/Pedestrian/Access
This accredited course is suitable for personnel who wish to operate Forklift trucks within the workplace and who require certification in accordance with current legislation. This course takes the individual through the Basic Counter Balance course, and converts them to the Reach truck, Rider operated Truck and pedestrian.
The Course consists of the following:
Week One: Operator Course
Week Two: Conversion training – Reach / Access / Pedestrian
The above fee includes 12 day’s Bed & Breakfast accommodation, registration with the awarding body ITSSAR, certification, licensing and VAT.
Example Five
14 Day CIEH Supervising Safely / First Aider
This accredited course is suitable for personnel who wish to gain a civilian qualification in Health and Safety. Successful delegates will be able to apply basic management principles and practices to safety and health issues.
The course consists of the following:
Week one: CIEH Supervising Safely/Risk Assessment
Week Two: First Aid Appointed Person / First Aider
The above fee includes 12 day’s Bed & Breakfast accommodation, registration with the awarding body ITSSAR, certification, licensing and VAT
Example Six
5 Day CIEH Supervising safely/Risk Assessment
This 5 day course is suitable for personnel who wish to gain a civilian qualification in Health and Safety. Successful delegates will be able to apply basic management principles and practices to safety and health issues.
The above fee includes 4 day’s Bed & Breakfast accommodation, registration with the awarding body ITSSAR, certification, licensing and VAT

5 Day Lift Truck Operator
This accredited course is suitable for personnel who wish to operate Forklift trucks within the workplace and who require certification in accordance with current legislation.
