Forklift Instructor/Examiner

Successful training depends on the competence of the instructor. This course will develop relevant instructional skills in preparing and presenting both theoretical knowledge in the classroom and practical instruction on the truck itself.

This course also covers the appropriate methods of assessment on the progress of trainees including the testing of basic knowledge and practical skills to ensure the courses run are in accordance with the Health &Safety Executives Approved Code of Practice (L117) which relates to the requirements and recommendations of the provision of basic training forklift truck operators.

Objectives

On successful completion of this course students will be awarded the instructor/examiner qualification and entered onto the ITSSAR national register of approved forklift instructors.

Details

This course is suitable for current lift truck operators who wish to become an instructor/examiner. Delegates should have at least a minimum of 6 months experience, hold a current licence and have been tested to a basic standard in the last 12 months. It will also act as a refresher for those wishing to renew their certificate.

Duration:
10 days - full course.
5 days - refresher.
Assessment Format: Multiple choice question paper. Written and practical assessments.
