This qualification has been accreditated on to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 2.
Qualification Structure
The credit required for this qualification is dependant on the pathway selected:
Pathway 1 - Cranes and Specialist Lifting Plant
To achieve this qualification, candidates must complete two mandatory units achieveing 5 credits, plus one optional unit from Pathway 1 achiveing a minimum of 17 credits in total.
or
Pathway 2 - Fork-lift Trucks
Complete two mandatory units achieving 5 credits, plus one optional unit from Pathway 2 achieving a minimum of 21 credits in total.
or
Pathway 5 - Accessing Plant
Complete two mandatory units achieving 5 credits, plus one optional unit from Pathway 5, achieving a minimum of 17 credits in total.
or
Pathway 11 - Attachments
Complete two mandatory units achieving 5 credits, plus one optional unit from Pathway 11 plus one optional unit from Pathway 1, achieving a minimum of 21 credits in total.
or
Complete two mandatory unnits achieving 5 credits, plus one optional unit from Pathway 11 plus one optional unit from Pathway 2, achieving a minimum of 25 credits in total.
Age group approved
We currently have a contract to deliver this award to candidates who are 18 years old or above.
This qualification is suitable for:
- Candidates studying in preparation for employment in the construction sector.
- Candidates wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification to support further study in Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) in the costruction sector.
- Candidates wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification to support further study in FE or Higher Education (HE) in any other sector or subject area.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Assessment
This qualification is pass/fail. It is internally assessed by centre staff and externally verified by OCR Assessors
