2 Day First Aider Refresher

For those existing Workplace First Aiders who are within 3 years and 30 days of their last certification. This two day course is designed to refresh students with updated knowledge and techniques and to further enhance understanding with the latest best practice.

• Duties & Responsibilities of first aiders.
• Identification & Management of casualties.
• Control of emergency.
• Treating young children and the elderly.
• Treatment of shock, bleeding and resuscitation.
• Treatment of injuries to bone, muscle and joints.
• Treatment of burns and scalds.
• Treatment of minor injuries.
• Control of first aid box and materials.
• Record keeping of sickness, injuries and treatment.
• Concerns regarding hepatitis and immunodeficiency virus.
• Personal Hygiene.

Outcome

On completing this course candidates will be able to:

• Act as First Aiders, in accordance with the First Aid at Work Regulations.

Details

This two day course is for qualified First Aiders who require statutary updating. The certificate is valid for three years.

Duration: Two day programme.
Assessment Format: Multiple choice paper examination and general assessment.

Centre: £125.00 + VAT per delegate.
Customers Premises: £900.00 + VAT per course (up to a maximum of 12 delegates per course).

All costs include course material, registration and certification.
