
3 Day First Aid at Work
The 3 Day First Aid at Work Training Course provides training for qualification as a First Aider within the workplace under the guidance of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Content
- Duties & Responsibilities of first aiders.
- Identification & Management of casualties.
- Control of emergency.
- Treating young children and the elderly.
- Treatment of shock, bleeding and resuscitation.
- Treatment of injuries to bone, muscle and joints.
- Treatment of burns and scalds.
- Treatment of minor injuries.
- Control of first aid box and materials.
- Record keeping of sickness, injuries and treatment.
- Concerns regarding hepatitis and immunodeficiency virus.
- Personal hygiene
Outcomes
On completion of this course delegates will be able to:
- Confidently approach an incident.
- Deal with an emergency, airway management, CPR, unconsciousness.
- Deal with minor and major bleeding.
- Recognise and treat strokes.
- Recognise and treat epileptic emergencies.
- Understand heart attacks and acute heart conditions
- Identify and treat possible fractures.
- Understand the relative HSE guidance.
Details
This course is suitable for an employer who's assessment identifies that a First Aider is required under the requirements of the first aid at work regulations. This certificate is valid for three years.
Duration: Three day programme.
Assessment Format: Multiple choice paper examination and general assessment.

£1,200.00 + VAT per course (up to a maximum of 6 delegates per course).
£1,500.00 + VAT per course (up to a maximum of 12 delegates per course).
