IPAFMobile Elevating Working Platforms (MEWP)- Operator
Training in the use of work equipment is required by most health and safety legislation and work at height regulations. Employers are obliged to train employees. This course is to train delegates in the skills and techniques required, in order that they may safely use work platforms in accordance with good practice and health and safety legislation.

Outcomes
This course concentrates upon the skills required by operators of work platforms to ensure safe operation. On successful completion delegates are registered and certificated with the awarding body, International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). The certificate is valid for five years.
Details
This course is for anyone who operates scissor lifts, telescopic and articulating booms, vertical platforms, van mounted platforms, truck mounted platforms and telehandlers fitted with a man-riding basket/cage with integrated controls. It is designed to accomodate a maximum of 6 people on one equipment or four people on two equipments. This is in order to provide ample time to assimilate the key learning points and gain practical experience.
Duration: One day programme.
Assessment Format: Multiple choice question paper and practical test.
Cost
Companies wishing to have the course delivered on their own premises will need to provide a suitable room for the theory and an allocated area for the practical training: A minimum of 2 students is required.
