Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH

This qualification complements the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace by introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available.

• Definition and types of substances hazardous to health in the workplace.
• Health effects of hazardous substances and their causes.
• COSHH assessments and control options.
• Responsibilities imposed by the control of substances hazardous to health regulations 2002.

On completing this course candidates will be able to:

• Identify the hazards associated with those substances.
• Identify the risks and controls available to deal with the substances.
• Identify what to expect from a COSHH assessment.

Details

Designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.

Duration: Half-day programme.
Assessment Format: Multiple choice paper examination.

Centre: £ 75.00 + VAT per person (price includes certification and registration.
Customer Premises: £350.00 + VAT per day (additional cost of £ 12.25 per candidate for CIEH registration and certification).
