
Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling
This qualification complements the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace. Aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, it introduces candidates to the risks of manual handling and the controls available.

- Manual handling injuries and the activities, which cause them.
- Manual handling assessment and control options.
- Responsibilities imposed by the manual handling operations regulations.
Outcomes
On completing this course candidates will be able to:
- Identify the hazards of manual handling.
- Identify the risks involved and controls available.
- Identify what to expect from a manual handling assessment.
Details
This course is for all employees who handle materials, boxes, mail and packages, including both industrial and office workers. Delegates generally combine this course with the COSHH course that follows in the afternoon.
Duration: Half-day programme. (0915hrs - 1245hrs)
Assessment Format: Multiple choice paper examination.

Centre: £75.00 + VAT per delegate (price includes certification and registration). Combine both courses for only £100.00 + VAT.
Customer Premises: £350.00 + VAT per day (additional cost of £ 7.87 per candidate for CIEH Registration and certification).
